It is through the efforts of a small team that this site is made possible. Each member of the team somehow embodies the lifestyle of an urban dwelling conservationist. The creator of this blog is a young urban professional based in Atlanta, Ga. She is currently working as a field professional for a small gourmet restaurant franchising company. The EY has a passion for life in the city with a flare for environmental conservation, and a lifestyle of eco-consciousness. She holds a B.A. in mass communication, with a minor in environmental science from a long standing, rising-on-the-scene, liberal arts university in Georgia. She enjoys friends and family, culture, travel, good food, modern folk music, the outdoors, mild city cycling, and rock climbing.

A note from the creator: It is my hope that by frequenting this blog site you will involve yourself in dialogue on various subjects and topics that surround the lifestyle of a so-called “eco-yuppie.” This title can embody so many things, but most of all it suggests a sense of consciousness that is vital to changing the hearts and habits of fellow humans that tread the earth. The key to change is education and awareness — the more you know, the more likely you are to take action. As you may find, surprisingly, there are many small efforts that can be adopted by just about anyone.  When combined with other small efforts, the difference in environmental impact can be astonishing and ultimately worthwhile.
